Today on 1.6.2023 stock market has again moved in two different directions. large cap stocks has fallen a bit and midcap and small cap has moved up. #nifty moved down -46 points (-0.25%) and closed at 18,487. #midcap100 has moved up +51 points (+0.15%) and closed at 33,812. #smallcap has moved up +103 points (+1.02%) and closed at 10269. And stock portfolio has moved up ₹8,124 (+0.33%) and now latest value of ₹24,43,162.

It's strange, today small cap has moved up more than 1% and still it's far away from the all time high of 12000 points, and now catching up the main steam market and trying to climb up. The peculiar quality of small cap stocks is, it's can not move up beyond a certain limit because the most influential player in the small cap stocks is mutual funds and no small cap fund will be coming up for buying small cap stocks at high valuation and hence upside is always restricted in small cap stocks. And in bad times small cap stocks has no buyers so that's what reflecting in markets right now.
